We are seeking an experienced chlor-alkali subject matter expert for our team. The individual in this role will provide expert advice and support to one of our clients in the specialty chemical industry, specifically in support of chlor-alkali design process optimization, compliance with industry regulations, support to construction and operations planning, and ultimately support to operations. This may be a remote position, but the successful candidate should be within a day’s drive of the client facility in Southern Arkansas or East Texas.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice on chlor-alkali production processes and best practices.
• Assess client operations and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Develop and implement solutions to optimize chlor-alkali production processes.
• Keep abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes and advise clients accordingly.
• Participate on internal & external audit teams.
• Formulate and implement management policies and operating procedures.
• Act as Technical Steward for the process. Ensure the adherence of necessary industry best practices. Ensure technical "know-how" is communicated throughout the organization.
• Act as a trouble-shooting resource for the operations supervision. Offer technical ability and methodologies for problem solving.
• Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products, as our highest priority.
• Assist in the preparation of capital requests necessary to improve plant operations, provide input and review on larger unit capital projects, and manage small to mid-sized capital projects as appropriate

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in chemical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the chlor-alkali industry.
• Proven track record of process optimization and compliance with industry regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to commute to the client site in southern Arkansas within one day.
