C.L. Thomas, Inc./Speedy Stop is seeking candidates to join the TEAM within our corporate offices located in Victoria, TX as a Claims Coordinator.

The role of the Claims Coordinator is to handle all types of property and casualty claims. This Claims Coordinator may be asked to participate in other claims, risk management or insurance related tasks or activities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications and Prerequisites:

• University degree or college diploma preferred.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment as well as independently will minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge and ability to handle claims, loss prevention and environmental situations.
• Solid working knowledge of current computer software to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Other proprietary programs (Laserfiche/Maverick)
• Able to manage shifting priorities, responsibilities, demands, timelines, multiple projects with conflicting deadlines and meet those deadlines while maintaining team spirit.
• Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to articulate verbally and written; ability to think quickly and present to an audience.
• Ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task, manage time, organize, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism during difficult customer interactions is a must.
• A record of ethical business practices and integrity

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• All investigative work on claims to include initial contact of claimants, ensure proper incident reporting, DVR review and obtaining witness statements.
• Maintain and upkeep of all claim's files/reports in Laserfiche.
• Produce and analyze Laserfiche reports for processing claims and analysis.
• Assists adjuster in handling of claim settlements and negotiations.
• Reports claims to Broker/Carriers when necessary.
• Works as a liaison between company insurance carriers and claimants
• Tracking and follow-up on claim related invoices with Maintenance Department
• Facilitate all Customer Carwash Claims. Coordinate with claimant and repair facilities, prepare release agreements, and make payments.
• Assist with Fuel Contamination Claims
• Assist with Environmental Claims
• Adjusts all Property Claims
• Adjusts all Auto Claims – First and Third Party
• Reports all Injury Claims – Employee and Third Party
• Facilitate payments of medical bills in a timely manner. Upload documents and record payments to claims files.
• Assists with litigation case file administration.
• Audits claim files regularly to maintain accurate reporting.
• The Claims Coordinator may be asked to participate in any other related task or activity for which management determines his/her skills would be useful or needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
