Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop cloud-based secure computing enclaves, and integrate Commercial off the Shelf (COTS), Government off the Shelf (GOTS), and Open Source software into secure enclaves according to Sponsor requirements.
• Develop software through the entire life cycle such as requirements definition, design, code, debugging, verification and test, and maintenance of software modules.
• Propose and demonstrate innovative solutions for the formulation of new cloud architectures, designs for secure enclaves, and new software products available on the market.
• Develop on commercial and government cloud platforms such as AWS, C2S, GCP, Azure, and others.
• Integrate communications products such as VPNs, encrypted file transfer software, virtual desktop and virtual cell phone software into existing and new secure enclave solutions.
• Integrate collaboration products such as JITSI, RocketChat, and NextCloud into secure enclaves.
• Integrate cloud virtual services such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Amazon Workspaces Desktop, into secure enclave solutions.
• Engage Sponsor customers to bring system requirements to maturity, and develop proposed initial solutions.
• Work with Sponsor customers on iterative refinement of requirements and deployable solutions to meet the overall mission need.
• Work with DevOps technologies such as Puppet, Terraform, Packer, Jenkins, GitHub, and GitLab.
• Work with various databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.

Experience Needed:

• Citizenship: Must Be a US Citizen
• Existing Clearance Required: Active Top Secret SCI with Poly
• Demonstrated experience with infrastructure-as-code software, such as Terraform, Packer and Ansible.
• Demonstrated experience with maintaining tools built to automate deployment and management of AWS environments.
• Demonstrated experience with managing DevOps tools and processes in support of development activities.
• Demonstrated experience with designing, developing, and implementing immutable or ephemeral services and cloud infrastructure on secured networks.
• Demonstrated experience with designing, developing, and implementing collaboration hub services and applications in secure enclaves.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining solutions based on infrastructure-as-code software.
• Demonstrated experience deploying solutions onto AWS and GCP.
• Demonstrated experience developing a multi-vendor cloud infrastructure and deploying multi-vendor cloud communications solutions.
• Demonstrated experience performing software or system development on Linux platforms.
• Demonstrated experience working with Linux operating systems such as CentOS or RHEL.
• Demonstrated experience working with web servers such as Apache Web Server, Apache Tomcat and Nginx.
• Demonstrated experience scripting languages such as Shell and Python.
• Demonstrated experience with object-oriented languages and programming, such as Java.
• Demonstrated experience working with web technologies such as CSS and HTML.
• Demonstrated experience using version control systems such as GitHub.
• Demonstrated experience using build automation and continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins.
• Demonstrated experience deploying solutions onto Azure.
• Demonstrated experience taking a system through a security accreditation process and experience with accreditation tools.
• Demonstrated experience with Hashicorp’s Packer and Terraform.
• Demonstrated experience with applications such as Apache Web Server, ElasticSearch Logstash, and Kibana (ELK), Hashicorp Consul, or Hashicorp Vault.
• Certifications:
  • AWS Developer Associate Certification or similar

Other skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work, include:

• Demonstrated experience taking a system through the Sponsor’s current security accreditation process and experience with the Sponsor’s accreditation tool.
• Demonstrated experience with designing, developing, and implementing collaboration hub services and applications in Sponsor’s secure enclaves.
• Demonstrated experience with the Sponsors Cloud environment.
• Demonstrated experience with Java, Go or Ruby.
• Demonstrated experience with Docker containers.

• Demonstrated experience programming in Ruby.
• Demonstrated experience using NoSQL databases.
