Responsibilities
The Commercial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems, as well as electrical components for Commercial Infrastructures. Particularly, this role in charge of the following:
- Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems in a commercial setting
- Run MC cable in a commercial building
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints
- Bend and put in place conduits of all sizes, utilizing mechanical and manual conduit benders
- Oversee the work of a small crew
- Inspect and install transformers, panels, switchboards, circuit breakers, and other electrical components
- Read, understand and follow a project schedule
- Identify materials and quantities needed for new and repair projects
- Follow established processes and procedures
- Operate with safety as a priority and understand and utilize the PPE provided to you
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures
- Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) state and local building regulations
- Circuit breaker corrective maintenance
- Equipment Testing
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- 1-2 Years of experience preferred
- Licensed Electrician
- Valid Driver’s License to include active liability insurance
- Successful completion of required criminal record and motor vehicle record background checks
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Must be able to lift 50 pound
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
