GM Wentzville plant for a
Commodity Resource Manager (CRM) responsible for implementing, developing and improving By-product strategy to maintain zero landfill status and recover all resources to their highest value.
Typical Duties include but not limited to:
- Manage scrap shipment scheduling, collection locations, scrap reports, and other scrap related issues including assisting with scrap contracts and spot buys.
- Monitor the plant scrap for potentially new components for possible sale in the Outlet Shop;
- Identify all excess & obsolete(E&O) parts going through salvage process;
- Work with Quality Engineer on available E&O/damaged engines and engine components, that are not going back to production line;
- Maintain a list of salvaged components that the Asset Recovery (AR) dismantler (e.g. Schram Auto and Truck Parts) will accept;
- Monitor and manage the Parts for Reuse program;
- Technician responsibilities include waste shipment preparation, movement, and inspection.
- Work to minimize waste generated, improve existing recycling programs, implement new recycling programs, and identify possible reuse opportunities for various by-products.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required. College degree preferred
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Basic understanding of manufacturing
- Forklift experience
- Excellent computer skills-Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word
