Security Officer Responsibilities:

• Being a visual deterrent to unwanted suspicious and criminal activity by patrolling assigned Alaska Airlines corporate buildings or areas of business by foot or patrol vehicle.
• Monitor Alaska Airlines corporate buildings and areas of business for unwanted suspicious and criminal activity using computer-based camera surveillance systems.
• Conduct frequent checks of all access points to the Alaska Corporate building or area of business you are assigned to ensure they are adequately secured.
• Escort unauthorized individuals/trespassers found or reported inside Alaska Airlines corporate buildings or areas of business off-property or out of the area.
• Escort unauthorized individuals/trespassers found or reported on Alaska Airlines property off the property.
• Submit detailed Daily Activity Reports of all activities, events, and incidents during your shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and skills:

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Basic computer skills and report-writing experience
• Available to work shifts during nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Must be able to handle stressful situations and emergencies

Pay and Benefits:

• Salary: $19- $20.50 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Security: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Customer Service: 1 – 2 years (Preferred but not required)
• Security: 1 – 2 years (Preferred but not required)
• Ability to connect and interact with people, regardless of socioeconomic status, ethnicity, or gender preference.
• Able to speak and communicate in English.
• Effectively operate various equipment, including but not limited to portable radios, patrol vehicles, and access control systems.
• Effectively able to operate a computer and computer-based systems such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook, etc.
• Possess superior attention to detail and observation skills.
