AGCO is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our Jackson, MN New Product Introduction (NPI) Finance Team. This role will be vital in estimating product costs throughout the product development cycle and supporting product cost optimization (PCO) initiatives. The responsibilities cover establishing accurate costs and reporting changes on costs to the design teams and management on a timely basis. The design cost analysis is a key part of providing valuable information to the product development team and management prior to launching new products.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate discussions on cost reduction ideas with engineering modules for new products
• Track implementation and status of cost reduction ideas for multiple products
• Create cost estimates for different design proposals and report to engineers
• Evaluate different sites’ costs across the corporation and benchmark best costs
• Develop summary reports and reference or training material for future best cost practices

Demonstrating these additional qualities/qualifications:

• Detail and results oriented, organized, self-directed
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
• Must be able to be “the expert” in costing and capable of providing a full analysis of all differences
• Must have in-depth understanding of the bill of materials, routings, and engineering prints
• Must be able to work across many groups from engineers to cost accountants and management

Additional requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or 3-5 years equivalent experiences in mfg. or design environments
• Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
• Team player with ability to provide change and cost improvement ideas to leadership
• Fluent with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment and office environment
• Must be able to learn multiple computer systems for gathering information and communicating findings, examples being: ”PLC (SAP), Apriori, SAP, Windchill
