Credentialing Coordinator FT Days Position Summary
Performs comprehensive credentialing duties in support of the System Credentialing Program. Responsible for ongoing interface and frequent communication with physicians, and allied health professional staff. Effectively supports efforts to coordinate change and innovation and foster teambuilding. May work with confidential information.
Responsibilities
Assist with the verification process for assigned files and assemble the files for appropriate signatures.
Assemble all verified information and prepare files for presentation to appropriate department/committee.
Copy delineations for master notebooks.
Develop approval letters for each practitioner after Board of Directors meeting.
Maintain current documents within each credentialing file.
Assure data entry and maintains accurate rosters.
Demonstrate computer skills relevant to credentialing and medical staff services.
Participate in quality improvement measures within the department..
Utilize medical and other terminology applicable to credentialing and medical staff services.
Design and compile routine or ad hoc reports.
Provide assistance with special meetings and/or projects as requested.
Provide support in revising policies and procedures.
THE CREDENTIALING COORDINATOR FT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.)

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required: Two (2) years experience in clinical, quality, medical staff, or credentialing environment or one (1) year experience as Credentialing Systems Specialist I. Effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills; basic office equipment (i.e. phone, fax, and copier).
