As a Custodial Worker 1, you are involved in routine manual work in public institutional buildings and surrounding grounds. Your work involves the use of custodial supplies and modern cleaning equipment and may involve the moving and lifting of heavy furniture. Work is performed in accordance with a well-established routine and is subject to inspection to meet standards of cleanliness.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 7.5 hours/day; 37.5 hours/week.
- Work hours are 1st shift (6:30 AM – 2:30 PM); Rotating Days & Weekends and 2nd shift (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM), Rotating Days & Weekends.
- With 30-minute lunch.
- Working every other weekend is required.
- Multiple positions may be filled from this posting.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- No previous experience and training required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Work experience as a custodian, janitor, or cleaning person in an assisted living facility, nursing home, or hospital is preferred. (Experience might include such things as cleaning restrooms; cleaning resident rooms, offices or public areas; mopping, scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, buffing, etc.)
- A conditional offer of employment may require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
