A little bit about us! We have been a full-service, small animal hospital located just outside of historic downtown Palm Harbor for over 30+ years that strives to provide state-of-the-art technology and progressive medicine. We are now proud to offer an innovative specialty center for pain management, rehabilitation, and regenerative medicine to our community as well. We are equipped with a revolutionary rehabilitation gym, hydrotherapy, neurology-based acupuncture, kinesitherapy, advanced pharmaceutical pain management therapies, and sports medicine and conditioning. We are the only veterinary practice in Pinellas County to provide such a vast array of modalities under one roof to our clients and patients. Aside from our pain management and rehabilitation certifications, we have also been a certified Fear-Free practice, and certified as a Feline Friendly Practice, for over ten years.
We are seeking a skilled customer service representative to work for our ever-growing practice. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong communication and intrapersonal skills to handle the diversity that Pinellas County has to offer and a working knowledge of veterinary medicine, supported by attention to detail, a robust work ethic, a desire to learn, and a team mentality. Previous veterinary experience is required due to the amount of involvement the customer service representative has with the patient care team and owners in the partnership in caring for their pets. Avimark and PetDesk experience is a huge plus! An ideal candidate would be a well-spoken team player who values high standards of care and maintains a professional appearance by being responsible and reliable while possessing the ability to maintain composure in a busy work environment.We want to give our team members every opportunity to grow, develop their skills, and offer continual encouragement and training to enhance their position within the industry. A few of the daily job duties include, but are not limited to:
* Greet arriving clients with a caring smile and enthusiastic demeanor – remember you’ll most likely be the face of the client experience!
* Handle multi-line phone system by accurately taking detailed messages and prioritizing calls
* Handle stress and pressure with poise and tact (abusive clients not tolerated by leadership, however)
* Advise clients of our protocols and policies
* Provide client education regarding routine animal care (i.e. internal/external parasite preventative products, commonly used medications, prescription diets, husbandry, etc.)
* Manage an appointment schedule and boarding assignment chart
* Manage cash and credit card transactions
* Knowledge and utilization of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
* Possess an attention to detail and be able to multi-task
* Being a compassionate listener
Full time benefits include paid time-off (sick, vacation, and holiday), quarterly profit sharing, IRA + employer matching dividend, HRA, employer-paid pet health insurance premiums, tuition reimbursement, and paid CE. Salary is commensurate with experience and skill level.
