Job Summary

Livingood’s Appliance, Savannah’s largest independent home appliance store is seeking a skilled, dependable, and safety conscious Appliance Installer/ Delivery Driver.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for preparing deliveries, following planned delivery routes, unloading, installing and checking appliances. You will be required to have or obtain the basic hand tools needed to perform this job.

• Maintaining the cleanliness and standard maintenance of delivery vehicles, observing safety procedures, and must be able to become DOT certified.

• Communicate with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

• Other duties as assigned, such as assisting in the warehouse, and making transfers to other store locations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Physical ability to move large, bulky and heavy appliances.

• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

• Light plumbing and/or electrical experience is desired.

• Able to install appliances, or the ability to learn to do so.

• Valid driver's license with a clear MVR (no DUIs or Reckless Driving). Reliable transportation is required. Experience driving box trucks is helpful.

• Must be able to successfully complete the pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background check.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs (Monday - Friday, one Saturday per month).

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, including written correspondence.

• Good organization, time-management and customer service skills.

This position offers a starting wage based on the applicant’s experience, as well as company health, dental, and vision insurance. Paid time off and paid holidays are available after a probationary period.
