Part-Time Dental Hygienist Employment Opportunity:
Are you looking to add some hours to your schedule? We are a
quaint, well-established, and friendly private dental office located in
Wakefield, MA looking to welcome a part time hygienist to our practice.
We have one wonderful Doctor looking for added support on Mondays.
We offer a relaxed work environment with 1hr appointments
and competitive pay. Our new team member must be reliable, laid back
and team oriented. We look forward to hearing from you!
Responsibilities
- Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
- Sterilize dental instruments properly
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
- Give instructions to patients after dental procedures
- Take X-rays and dental impressions
- Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
- Monitor supplies
Skills
- Proven experience as Dental Hygienist
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Outstanding communication skills
- A patient and friendly personality
- Valid license to practice
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
