POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of Dietary Aide position is to provide assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food polices and procedures. Dietary Aide follow quidelines of specific nutritional dietary programs and help prepare food and drinks according to individual dietary requirements. As Dietary Aide, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accoruntability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
Qualifications / Experience
Minimum of 1 year experience in Dietary Aide for nursing facility or hospital preferred
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions Working Conditions Work environment may be warm
May be involved with residents, family and government agencies
May be requested to work beyond scheduled working hours at times Is subject to callback during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post disaster, etc.)
May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
Physical Requirements
Must be able to push, pull, move and or lift up to 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 15 feet
Ability to read fine print on labels and menus
