Long Cove Club is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to join our team. We are looking for a professional, collaborative, and highly organized individual to support our members and guests at our Hilton Head Island Premier Private Country Club. Our Dining Room Supervisor has a crucial role in the smooth and efficient running of our F&B operations.

  • Evening availability Thursday-Sunday is required.
  • Starting pay $23+ DOE!
  • Travel pay provided to ALL employees (max $150/month)

Dining Room Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Hands on manager that oversees the F&B service daily and interacts with the members, guests, and staff, Remaining highly visible during lunch, dinner, and event Shifts.
  • Responsible for opening or closing the daily dining operations of the Club as scheduled.
  • Manages the daily standard operating procedure for all areas of the Club to ensure proper delegation and completion.
  • Lead pre-service daily lineups. Daily supervision of the service staff
  • Work with our Retention Specialist to build and sustain our culture of excellence.
  • Assist with recruiting and hiring of new and returning staff. Conduct orientations and training programs for food and beverage staff on various topics, including service techniques, knowledge of menu items and ingredients, outstanding customer service, sanitation, liquor, and wine knowledge. Regularly test staff to evaluate their understanding of these expectations.
  • Enter daily menus and daily specials into the POS System.
  • Consult daily with Clubhouse manager, Assistant Clubhouse manager, Executive Chef, and other club administrators to assure the highest level of member satisfaction and address anticipated needs.
  • Assist in daily supervision of all F&B staff including pre-meal and menu familiarization meetings, assignment of side work, table, and station assignments. Ensure the staff is professional in appearance and is performing within the employee manual and is following all safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Address Member/ Guest complaints and advises fellow Managers for possible appropriate corrective actions.
  • Monitor Member & Employee dress codes according to Club policies and procedures.
  • Follow closing procedures including a thorough check-out of service staff and SOP’s, complete a daily Manager’s report (email) for all F&B leadership team and for the GM. Maintain follow up reports for major events, as well as tracking cover counts and check averages for events and a la carte dining rooms. Cover counts logged Daily.
  • Monitor employee records to minimize overtime and keep labor costs within budget.
  • Assure that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Dining Room Supervisor Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years Food & Beverage Management experience at a fine dining restaurant, private club, resort, or hotel
  • In depth knowledge of motivating, supervising, and training staff as well as leading the dining room.
  • Excellent computer skills and POS knowledge (Jonas knowledge preferred)
  • A keen eye for details and a “hands on” management style is required
  • Dining floor plan and menu design knowledge
  • Food Handler certificate is preferable
