Key Accountabilities

• Develop and enhance IHG’s relationships with traditional lenders, including national, regional and local lenders.
• Connect directly with local and regional banks to communicate and provide information on IHG and IHG brand family with objective of raising the profile of IHG brands within the lender community particularly in those markets where IHG development activity exists.
• Support IHG regional development growth initiatives as set forth by the Americas Regional CEO and Chief Development Officer.
• Build and further relationships with potential capital sources providing financial and brand information in support of franchisees approach to lenders and interact where appropriate in support of franchisee debt process. Provide capital sources and work with their financial underwriters to clear questions and concerns.
• Create and maintain a lender data base and “fact pack” supporting IHG brand information and successes.
• Support development team members by providing assistance and information to potential and existing IHG franchisees on the debt markets generally and lender specific information.
• Present where needed the state of the debt markets and specific lender information where needed by the Chief Development Officer.
• Be the “one stop shop” for debt and lender information to support out franchisee community.
• Identify and communicate other financial support programs and lending platforms that are available to the franchisees community (e.g., federal, state and local incentive programs, ESG programs, government agency lenders, etc.)

Education –

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate or related disciplines preferred

Experience –

7+ years of progressive work-related experience in hotel development, hotel asset sales, hotel debt or hotel investment transactions with emphasis on exposure of debt capital markets. Preferred work experience directly with a lender active in the hotel debt markets.

Technical Skills and Knowledge –

• Demonstrated knowledge of hotel investment and underwriting models.
• Experience in the hotel debt capital markets
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to owners, vendors, senior management and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with owners, partners and members of the financial community.
• Extremely strong verbal and written skills for the purpose of communicating information to the broader IHG owner community.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Ability to travel 50% of work hours.
