How You’ll Make a Difference

The Director of Capital Markets will focus primarily on raising capital for The WWG Self Storage Income Fund (Fund) by creating, expanding and managing a network of fund distribution channels, with focus on RIAs, family offices, private wealth management institutions (banks), and other strategic capital sources interested in investing in a tax efficient open-end income fund for long term cash flow and appreciation. Additionally, the Director of Capital Markets will oversee and coordinate all other fundraising activities at WWG and play a lead role in key capital partner relationships.

  • Develop a broad, diversified base of durable distribution relationships for the Fund through your extensive existing relationships and financial industry contacts by selling the Fund into multiple channels
  • Facilitate investor due diligence requests in coordination with the Fund Director and other departmental peers
  • Manage the administrative aspects of on-boarding new capital relationships including negotiation of selling agreements, coordination with brokerage/operational staff and subscription processing
  • Coordinate with the Fund Director in the creation of powerful Fund marketing collateral including presentation decks and brochures
  • Grow and expand the Fund profile and lead funnel beyond existing contacts through targeted marketing initiatives such as in-person “roadshow” presentations, conference speaking roles, webinars, lead database mining, etc.
  • Source and evaluate required enterprise level software tools (CRM, lead databases, investor portals, etc.) required for the capital markets department to succeed, oversee implementation and training for team
  • Manage and maintain the CRM database and tracking sheets, ensuring current and consistent internal reporting of investor/marketing activity metrics for internal stakeholders
  • Special projects, as needed

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree with a finance/marketing/economics concentration or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in: Real estate equity capital markets, Capital formation and IR within private real estate funds and Mutual fund wholesaling
  • Intermediate-Advanced excel and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and real estate finance skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and strong project management skills, results- driven, and adaptable with ability to meet deadlines
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to learn
