To support these strategies, FamilyAid seeks a dynamic and driven Director of Clinical Training and Resources to advance the agency’s growing internship program, clinical services and training, and trauma informed care programming,

The Director will partner with leadership to deepen clinical training and resources through a 2Gen service approach to more than 5,000 children and parents annually.

Summary of the Position:

Reporting to the Vice President of Programs, the Director of Clinical Training and Resources will advance FamilyAid ‘s individual and collective services of through expansion of a robust internship program and deepening of partnerships and pathways that support staff in their work to build family well-being.

The Director of Clinical Training and Resources will support workforce expertise by developing balanced pragmatic, clinical and 2Gen frameworks throughout the organization.

This work will involve all program portfolios and will be conducted through at 2-Gen lens including Ascend Network’s model: (1) Early Childhood Education; (2) K-12; (3) Post-Secondary Education & Employment; (4) Economic Assets; (5) Health and Well-Being; and (7) Social Capital.

The Director of Clinical Training and Resources will work to align internships and clinical trainings s across the agency and collaborate with external organizations to ensure clinical services are best in class for both children and adults.

The ideal candidate will have a clinical social work license, supervisory experience, and a minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience working to support the needs of children and parents, in both clinical and non-clinical settings. Knowledge and experience working and developing a 2-Gen model is a plus.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and oversee a robust and competitive clinical internship program for MSW and BSW candidates
  • Develop and maintain significant visibility and positive, close partnerships with and among other external collaborators, colleges, and universities.
  • Partner with intern providing schools to ensure adequate resources and processes are established to meet College or University internship reporting requirements
  • Identify staff to participate in intern supervision and provide program and tools for support.
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure that all intern credentialing and referencing/background checks are completed in line with FA policies
  • Over time, develop partnerships with other college and university internship placement programs to source other agency internship needs (education, early childhood education, marketing, IT, etc.)
  • Develop, encourage implement and monitor social service staff advancement toward licensure/certifications, including credentialing, clinical supervision, and plans.

Qualifications:

  • Independent Social Worker Licensure required
  • 5-10 years of experience managing staff/human service programming, with a preference for professional experience in the homelessness sector
  • Deep experience in clinical practices in the family homelessness sector

Schedule and Work Conditions:

40 hours a week, including a hybrid schedule including remote, field and FamilyAid’s headquarters at 3815 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02130 as needed.

FamilyAid’s vaccine policy requires all new employees be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, including eligible booster doses, at the time of hire.
