WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

The Director, Cloud Governance will lead a team responsible for the design, implementation and operationalization of the Nike’s governance program, including establishing required processes within the team and in partnership with other key partners. A key requirement of this role is to stay ahead of regulatory changes that impact the delivery of cloud IT & business services. The governance framework is based on the principles listed below that are applied throughout the lifecycle of applications and patterns implemented in the environment:

  • Compliance with enterprise policies and standards & alignment with computing standards
  • Assurance and oversight of risk appetite, including monitoring of controls, and measurement and reporting in partnership with SecDevOps and CIS/SOX and Global Risk Management.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON?

The Director, Cloud Governance will drive transformation of cloud governance functions and processes using modern governance frameworks and cloud standard processes. This role also requires facilitation and coordination with external/internal auditors and important team members across the enterprise in partnership with SecDevOps and CIS/SOX and Global Risk Management team.

  • Establish roadmaps that include automation, self-service enablement and continuous improvement of cloud governance functions in conjunction with cloud teams, ensuring compliance and enabling effective risk management while also improving agility.
  • Support consultation on and lead implementation of cloud policy, standards, guidelines and relevant tools.
  • Define and drive the implementation of a cloud-first operating model across multiple, federated business units and a central IT organization.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of cloud governance & compliance trends and emerging standard methodologies. Research and apply frameworks, solutions, methodologies for effective cloud governance
  • Define and measure KRIs that provide significant and useful insight on the cloud governance program, ensuring data is accurately and completely gathered and made available for reporting.
  • Support the weekly reports & dashboards reflecting the cloud risk posture by ensuring the data provided from the governance program is complete, accurate and aligned with the Enterprise risk and performance indicators.
  • Build and supervise awareness and training program throughout the cloud organization to ensure continuous alignment to security governance.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH?

Work closely with enterprise governance team members such as Information Security, GRM, Risk & Controls, Audit, Enterprise Architecture and IT Service Management to ensure compliance requirements are met successfully.

  • Chair and lead the Cloud Council, Cloud Review Boards, Cloud Debriefs and any other cloud committees. Provide weekly and monthly status summary reports on cloud Applications, patterns/platforms and their risks.
  • Review the results of cloud control objectives assessed for the patterns & applications use cases and provide feedback & agreement during Cloud Council sessions.
  • Review IT Risk Score Cards and interactions with Global Cybersecurity Services
  • Provide responses to 2nd and 3rd line challenges
  • Interactions with team members & business partners, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate & complete documentation to support decisions, conditions and approvals by the Board and their delegates, serving as auditable evidence of the cloud governance program.
WHAT YOU BRING?
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 years of management experience building and leading impactful engineering teams
  • 3 years of experience in Cloud Governance
  • Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment is preferred.
