Easy Step Enterprises is seeking a dynamic marketing leader to fill the role of Director of Marketing. The Director of Marketing will oversee, manage, and develop a team of internal staff and external partners to achieve marketing objectives related to marketing campaign management (email, social, print, in-store, events), creative production and management (TV, radio, email, social, print, in-store), key partnerships, public relations, online reputation management, and other marketing initiatives. This role will report to the Vice President of Marketing and will interface often with the President/CEO. The Director of Marketing will provide input on marketing strategy, creative approach, and strategic planning and will be responsible for supporting the planning and leading the execution of all aspects of the marketing plan.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a complete understanding of the Vision, Mission, and Values of Easy Step Enterprises.
  • Partner with the VP, of Marketing and Development in the establishment of annual, quarterly, and monthly marketing goals to achieve marketing strategy.
  • Develop a marketing plan to guide the execution of all elements of marketing goals and strategy.
  • Engage outside media agencies and media partners with relevant public relations opportunities to increase local awareness of ESE’s Vision and Mission.
  • Partner with VP, Marketing, and President in building creative and messaging plans for NIL and endorsement partnerships.
  • Collaborate with VP, Marketing, and strategic partners like UVA, UNC, VCU, VUU, Black College HOF, and others to identify opportunities to enhance and expand the reach and impact of our events.
  • Plan, manage, and provide analysis of email marketing, social media calendars, and digital campaigns for each of our stores.
  • Collaborate with the President, VP of Marketing, and Sen Comms Manager to generate ideas for future radio creative derived from TV shoots (we have about 8 hours of interviews), build a list of ideas for campaigns, and provide oversight to ensure the project stays on track until completion.
  • Plan hiring strategy and structure of the Marketing team in partnership with HR, VP of Marketing and Development, and President.
  • Build, lead, empower, and develop a dynamic team of marketing professionals.

Requirements:

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Highly organized leader with exceptional communication skills, strong creative and business vision, and the ability to drive results in a marketing team.
  • Proven track record of leading, empowering, and developing a team to achieve at a high level.
  • Player/coach who can motivate, focus, and develop the team while being responsible for specific projects and tasks in an extremely fast-paced and fluid environment.
  • Minimum of 7 years of Business/Marketing or equivalent experience (with at least 5 years of leadership experience).
  • Experience in Retail Marketing in multi-unit Franchising a plus.
  • Up to 2 weeks of overnight travel with periodic weekend and after-hours events.
