DIRECTOR OF NURSING

We are seeking a qualified Director of Nursing with dynamic leadership skills to lead and oversee our nursing team. The Director of Nursing leads and directs the overall clinical department of the facility in accordance with resident needs, federal and state government regulations and company policies/procedures so as to maintain quality care for the residents.

The ideal candidate for this position has proven experience in a nursing leadership role, outstanding organizational skills, and in-depth knowledge of healthcare industry policies.

The Director of Nursing will utilize their leadership skills by:

• Supervising, evaluating, and counseling all nursing staff.
• Overseeing department budgets.
• Maintaining high standards of care for all patients.
• Managing patients' data and medical records as confidential records.
• Recruiting, training, and onboarding new nursing staff.
• Providing ongoing education classes.
• Implementing new procedures and training nurses on policies.
• Ensuring that a sufficient number of qualified supervisory and supportive nursing personnel are assigned for each unit/shift to meet the resident’s needs.
• Participating in coordination of resident services through departmental and appropriate staff committee meetings.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with a current Indiana license in good standing.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role preferrred .
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state policies and regulations in the healthcare industry.
• Aptitude for problem-solving.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
