The Director of Residential Services is responsible for the provision of oversight and administration of all services, staff, and activities in the daily operations of all Clarity Care’s Residential facilities in a manner which promotes excellence in resident care, fiscal responsibility and compliance with licensing and agency expectations. This is a critical leadership position within the organization and must demonstrate a high level of integrity and a strong depth of knowledge regarding licensing guidelines and legislation surrounding Intellectual Disabilities and/or Behavioral Health topics. The Director will provide professional leadership and guidance in a manner which encourages teamwork, professional development, sound program and fiscal development, and community recognition and support for the organization’s activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Program Supervision and Oversight
  • Ensure that Clarity Care programs operate in compliance with laws, regulations, managed care organization (MCO)contractual guidelines, and organizational policy.
  • Create and implement effective oversight systems for all programs supervised. Evaluate quality metrics and outcomes achieved by Clarity Care on at least a monthly basis and undertake corrective actions where findings dictate.
  • Develop and implement effective Plans of Corrective Action in response to internal, MCO, State and Federal programming audits and/or fiscal audits.
  • Monitor staffing to ensure staffing plans meet the needs of consumers served.
  • Assess and evaluate staff development needs and ensure that all such needs are adequately and routinely addressed through utilization of internal and external training and education resources.
  • Monitor physical plant and fire safety inspections of residences and ensure all safety hazards are immediately addressed.
  • Supervise the financial management affairs of the Residential division in a prudent manner with attention to fiscalforecasting, standard accounting principles, sound record keeping, and integrity of consumer accounts and residence funds. Monitor ongoing fiscal status of all Programs supervised and ensure budget guidelines are met. Regularly review budget and expenses with CEO and CFO, and participate in activities related to ensuring that the division operates in a fiscally sound manner.
  • Monitor vacancy and occupancy levels to achieve goals.
  • Support Lean Process improvement initiatives. In conjunction with the executive team, plan, develop and execute improvements in the residential division.
  • Participate in the strategic and operational planning process for the Residential Services Division.
  • Support the Clarity Care mission and philosophy by effectively interacting with its constituencies, including the public, state and county officials, managed care organizations, families and guardians, local business communities, and others in a manner which brings credibility to, support for, and continued development of Clarity Care.
  • Remain alert to, pursuing, assessing, and managing development and growth opportunities.
  • Remain abreast of the state-of-the-art and best practice in the provision of supports to persons with cognitive an developmental disabilities, mental illness, traumatic brain injuries, and other disabilities.
  • Ensure that all medication errors, consumer incidents and allegations are reported according to policy. Monitor trends and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.

EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with 6 years’ experience working in an administrative capacity, of which at least 3 years must have been in a managerial capacity.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Electronic Charting Systems.
