SJVA has three openings at this time for DSP. The schedules are as follows:
1. Monday-Wednesday 9am-3pm, Every other weekend 8:30am-2:30pm--- Total of 24 hours
2. Wednesday-Friday 9am-3pm, Monday-Tuesday 3pm-9pm--Total of 30 hours
3. Thursday-Friday 9am-3pm, One weekend 8:30am-2:30pm, one weekend 3pm-9pm---Total of 24 hours
St. John Valley Associates is looking for dedicated individuals to work in our Community Support Program, specifically in the Madawaska area. Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in our Community Support Program work with adults who are developmentally and intellectually disabled. DSPs integrate the adults into the community, encouraging outside-of-the-home activities and community involvement. DSPs must be motivated, self-starters, have a strong work ethic, enjoy connecting with people, and enjoy assisting people to pursue their interests and develop relationships outside of their homes. The desired candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, the ability to enter Canada, and the ability to drive per SJVA’s regulations and agreements. No prior experience is necessary, and training will be provided.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.50 - $16.62 per hour
