Temporary Short-Term Positions - (non-benefited)Elementary District Wide InterventionistProvide direct intervention to students at the elementary level identified with learning lossDegree and MA Teaching License preferred, but other relevant experience/certifications will be considered.Effective: September, 20236 hr/day during the school dayRate: $40.00 per hr.JOB GOAL: To support student achievement in the area of Mathematics or Literacy with special attention to Tier II and III instruction. The Interventionist provides individual or small-group instruction to students who are struggling academically. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides direct intervention services to students based on assessment data through flexible, small-group instruction utilizing the provided district intervention curriculaDemonstrates current knowledge relate to different models of instruction, assessment and remediation in designated subject areas, and the use of diagnostic instrumentsWorks closely with appropriate team members to analyze data, establish goals and monitor improvementDevelops action plans for intervention based on conclusions about student progress on standards and learning goals; updates plans regularly and shares them with all appropriate stakeholdersDiagnoses students lagging skills utilizing a variety of assessments including informal observationsDemonstrates ability to design lessons and to assist other staff in meeting the needs of students by recommending techniques and materials appropriate to their learning stylesCommunicates and collaborates effectively with administrators, staff and studentsMaintains frequent, positive communications with families regarding specific student progressMaintains positive outreach with families and the great school community, identifying strategies that support and strengthen family literacy/mathPossesses a sensitivity to the emotional as well as academic needs of childrenHelps to develop and support a culture of reflective practice among teachersPerform any other responsibilities which may be required by Building Principals or Curriculum Administrative Supervisors
