Position Summary:
Perform a wide range of clerical, secretarial and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Prepare and assemble reports, correspondence, documentation and forms relating to requests for reasonable accommodation and other internal matters for the Office of Equal Opportunity, including discrimination and harassment complaints; Title VII and Title IX reported incidents; incidents involving reported sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, and stalking; complaints or reported incidents received through the University Bias Response Line; Affirmative Action Plan reporting and planning; workplace or other accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act; and related federal, state, and local audit or reporting activity; create and manage files, complete forms relating to various legal and procedural matters, prioritize assignments, projects and other activities, calendar and organize meetings, delegate work to student and/or casual employees, attend meetings, take notes, modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets and other documents. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the department's policies and procedures. Interact with the general public as NYU liaison and with University personnel including those at the senior level to resolve issues.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years of office experience.

Preferred Experience:
2+ years of office experience in a legal environment, academic institution, large organization or government agency (with Associate's degree). 1+ years of office experience in a legal environment, academic institution, large organization or government agency (with Bachelor's degree).

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate Microsoft Office, spreadsheet and database applications. Moderate to fast word processing skills. Excellent written, oral communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collegially with diverse personnel.
Additional Information:
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $34.63. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
