The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys analyzing and interpreting data in order to provide insights for their organization. You will use your knowledge and skills to uncover trends, discover patterns and draw conclusions and present a meticulous report. You are a problem solver who has the able to identify opportunities, recommend strategies and create reports to help us make informed decisions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business analysis and data management

  • Researches and analyzes various business modeling initiatives including pricing, event format expenditures, and product margin
  • Coordinates event survey design, emails, and analysis with stakeholders.
  • Runs various reports from ISTE's databases, disseminates information to stakeholders, tracks results, and compiles data into informational graphics and slides as needed
  • Monitors existing reports for inaccuracies or issues and suggests new report builds
  • Works closely with external contractors to collaborate on data collection, including conference products and services
  • Investigates new data capture technology, analyzes and recommends potential adoption for increased insights and modeling
  • Tracks consistency in data entry and details where there are discrepancies to ensure data hygiene
  • Recommends additional survey techniques or points of survey to fill gaps in data or discover new insights
  • Develops, improves, and documents processes

Project management and other administrative support

  • Provides year-round support to the events team by coordinating and maintaining various project timelines
  • Helps research and support new initiatives throughout the year; works with the entire team to expand research data insights as needed
  • Supports the Chief Experience Office with administrative projects as required
  • Will provide administrative support for the annual conference

WHAT MATTERS TO US:

  • Bachelor’s degree and three-five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in an association or non-profit environment, desired
  • 3 years of experience in a data or analyst role
  • Database and report tracking experience
  • Experience working in Google Suite
  • Experience in data modeling and visual presentation of findings
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to use tables, charts, and formulas
  • Experience using the following technology:
  • Zoom (or other similar video conferencing systems)
  • Asana
  • Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint
  • Survey Monkey
  • Salesforce/Fonteva
  • Slack

Skills

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong ability to summarize and present data, in both written and visual form
  • Excellent oral & interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with diverse groups and interact effectively with co-workers, partner agencies, funders, and other external stakeholders
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner while performing the duties of the position

  • Ability to be a self-starter and look for efficiencies or insights in own work as well as when working with others.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
