Summary of the Position:
The Analyst will be located in Tishman Speyer's New York headquarters, focusing on large-scale residential projects currently under development, as well as both stabilized class-A multifamily and luxury condominium projects in the New York metro area. There will also be opportunities to work on residential acquisitions opportunities in the firm’s pipeline. This individual will be involved in all aspects of residential development and investment activity, including: underwriting and financial modeling; coordinating due diligence; preparing detailed memorandums for Investment Committee approval processes; and reporting for joint venture partnerships and lenders. The Analyst will collaborate across many functions at the firm, including Design & Construction, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Legal, Leasing, Portfolio Management and Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the New York Residential Development team with creating and maintaining pro formas for large-scale residential development projects and operating assets, perform valuations and cash flow projections, develop budgets and track significant asset events, as well manage reporting for joint venture partnerships and lenders
  • Develop and refine business plans and exit strategies
  • Identify creative solutions to reduce operating costs
  • Engage with different verticals within Tishman Speyer, external consultants, and third parties to identify and implement new initiatives to add value to the portfolio
  • Work with retail leasing team to negotiate and execute retail leases at a luxury condo development
  • Analyze National/Regional market report data
  • Collaborate in a dynamic team environment and interact with senior management and departments across the company
  • Foster relationships with management teams, internal and external stakeholders, and consultants
Skills & Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in an analytically rigorous Real Estate or Finance environment
  • Unwavering attention to detail
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with complex financial modeling; familiarity with waterfall modeling
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work effectively with both peers and senior executives in a highly entrepreneurial, team-oriented environment
  • Evident passion for real estate and desire to build a career on the principal side
The base compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $110,000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees.
This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this particular role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer’s New York team, as we’ve considered factors specific to this geography.
