Field Service Engineer II
Basic Requirements:
Provide customer onsite assistance support for equipment service and / or the installation and upgrade of state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing processing equipment.
Begin process of becoming certified through SCREEN technical courses and On The Job Training related to products being supported as well as become certified in all aspects of safety.
Work under supervision and direction of knowledgeable FSE's.
Installations and upgrades of the equipment: You will be performing and supporting equipment interconnection hookups performing tasks which include piping cutting, bending, flaring and plastic welding as well as electrical cable routing and terminations during facilitation of the equipment and support. Additionally you will support the power-up new equipment; perform mechanical setup and calibrations to achieve equipment parameters.
Equipment Service: You will perform basic routine equipment preventative maintenance and address equipment alarms and SPC limit trends, which have supporting procedures and established protocols (OCAP's). This may require some judgement for basic standard troubleshooting usually with supporting direction from more experience FSE's.
Work with customer at the site to build rapport and to obtain information about equipment performance. Complete all necessary documentation field service orders, installation / upgrade reports accurately and timely.
Complete administrative requirements timely as requested by management .

- Be able to work in confined spaces
- Be able to climb steep ladder and stairs.
- Lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to pass medical test and certification/training for respirator use.
- Position may require travel to other customer sites or for training purposes.
- Work in cleanroom environment.
- Be able to work compressed work week (CWW), nights as needed.
- Will require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Work within moderate temperatures and noise levels.
- Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents.
- Follow all rules and policies regarding worksite behavior and safety while working at customer sites.
- Must be able to pass customer background check and drug screening
Preferred:
- Ability to perform successfully in a demanding environment with varying workloads.
- Work independently or as part of a team.
- Work in a safe manner and follow all safety protocols.
- Have experience using alignment tools (micrometers/calipers/multimeters/current clamp).
- Ability to read schematics/plumbing diagrams.
- Chemical handling and familiarity (protective equipment and hazards).
- Excellent communication and compression skills both written and verbally.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Proficiency in MS Office programs.
- Good Interpersonal Skills
- Work according to strict procedures.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Technical Experience and Skills:
Position requires an Associate's degree in an Engineering field or in lieu of, completion of military technical training or comparable industry technical training with a minimum of 2 years Industry related experience as a field engineer with a equipment supplier or as a maintenance technician at a semiconductor fab.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be legally authorized to work in the US without Sponsorship.
