Front Desk Agent Job Summary:

Courteously and efficiently assist our guests and interval owners in checking in and out. Ensure guest/owner satisfaction during their stay on the property. Project the Aloha Spirit to all guests and owners.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Check guests in and out promptly and efficiently utilizing resort property management system.

· Review all folios for accuracy before settling folios.

· Review all incoming reservations daily for accuracy.

· Verify any prepayments and/or direct bill accounts.

· Establish credit status for each guest as set by resort protocol.

· Post all transactions in property management system and balance at end of shift.

· Verify all phone calls processed from Call Accounting.

2. Audit Functions:

· Complete and perform all audit functions as required by Management and print reports prior to desk closing.

· Prepare all daily and month end reports required by Management and forward to proper departments.

· Perform and complete back-up procedures.

3. Answer front office phone and PBX console within resort standards (not to exceed 3 rings)

4. Maintain “Log Book” daily and initial.

· Log all room moves, extensions, early outs, walk ins on the required forms.

· Cancel no-shows or move date to next day’s arrival.

· Log any unit requests for Maintenance in property reporting system, MAINTENANCE CONNECTION.

5. Maintain house bank (always $300) and balance daily in accordance to resort standards.

· Cash traveler’s checks for houseguests.

· Balance collected receipts and drop at end of each shift.

6. Maintain all front desk supplies and advise Manager on replacements.

7. Assist guests with the purchase of Resort’s Country Store items. Answer questions/offer assistance. Posting sale in property management system at time of sale. Restock items as needed. Advise manager of low stock/need replacement.

8. Complete all other tasks/projects as assigned by Front Office Supervisor and Front Office Manager.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications:

Must be able to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends. Must have good customer service public relations, and telephone skills/etiquette, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess a friendly, personable and professional appearance. Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills. Able to give and receive directions and information to guests and staff. Attention to detail is required. Good (corrected) vision and hearing necessary. Job requires reading, writing, walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, eye/hand/foot coordination, pushing or pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds. Must be flexible, able to handle stress and stand or sit for long periods of time. Proficiency with the computer, Microsoft Word, Excel and 10-key essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
