Under the direction of the Membership Services Coordinator, Front Desk Workers are responsible for the efficient functioning of the front desk operations at the Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC). The Front Desk Worker is a part time, hourly position.

**The City is currently seeking candidates that are available to fill any of the following**:


  • Friday evenings
  • Weekends

Examples of Duties

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Extensive computer use that includes the processing of and accepting payment for memberships, daily passes, activities, and classes using a recreation management software;
  • Balance, reconcile, and file all daily financial transactions throughout that day;
  • Disperse City of Dublin and Dublin Community Recreation Center information in person and by answering a high volume of phone calls, routing messages, and answering questions appropriately;
  • Greet the public entering the building;
  • Interact with customers and the public to answer inquiries and resolve issues;
  • Maintain a current knowledge of all City of Dublin Parks and Recreation memberships, activities, classes and events;
  • Interpret and enforce City of Dublin and Dublin Community Recreation Center policies, procedures, and rules;
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • One year of previous customer service experience required
  • Available in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends
  • Possession of valid CPR/First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of previous cash handling and financial balancing experience
  • Experience with personal computers
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Maintains composure under pressure; does not become defensive or irritated during stressful situations; is not knocked off balance by the unexpected
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to work efficiently and courteously with the public and is customer focused; dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
  • Must be willing to work diligently and conscientiously when dealing with work schedules and responsibilities
