Family-owned since 1946, Glorioso's Italian Market is in need of a full-time Front-End Manager. At Glorioso's, we want our customers to have a positive and interactive experience while shopping, while checking out at the registers or while attending a culinary class or event. We are looking for a motivated, dedicated, passionate and experienced person to lead our team.

LEADERSHIP ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Manage the Front End.
• Supervision and role model for the front-end Customer Service Team.
• Create an environment and training program with an emphasis on excellent customer service and product knowledge. The training program will include knowledge of the entire market experience, family history, emphasis on "Italian Specialty", and local products. Training will be made available for all associates throughout the store.
• Supervisory responsibilities include recruitment and hiring of the front-end Customer Service Team with a focus on high standards.
• Evaluate employees via performance reviews – recommend promotions and raises.
• Communication with all managers and departments on a daily basis to ensure information on specials, demos, events, and promotions are current and available to the team and customers.

DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Maintain proper control of all cash and related media materials in the store.
• Prepare weekly schedules for the Customer Service Team to ensure proper coverage throughout business hours.
• Set-up of the daily cash drawers and maintaining adequate change for the front-end operations.
• Oversee cashier productivity, scheduling and breaks, while communicating performance issues to management.
• Knowledge of pricing, POS systems, wholesale ordering, and security procedures are essential components of this position.
• Coordinate impulse promotions at the registers.
• Assist in culinary event promotion and registration at the register.
• In coordination with the Purchasing Manager, maintain the reusable bag, tobacco, candy, book/magazine, housewares, and gadget departments.
• Coordination of payment for special customer requests, wholesale orders, online orders and catering orders.
• Staff training for phone and interdepartmental communications.
• Participate in fiscal period inventories.
• Maintain safe, clean, and well-organized working and shopping environment.
• Comply with all regulatory rules and regulations including safety, weights and measures, and local food and sanitation laws.

REQUIREMENTS

• The ability to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Glorioso’s Italian Market, is a 71 year old, well established family, Italian grocery store located on the lower “East Side” of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The store is primarily an Italian Grocery and Delicatessen, with a reputation for Italian and Specialty Foods that reaches from coast to coast. The store includes Milwaukee's number 1 delicatessen, prepared fresh to go foods, coffee service, bakery, cheese, wine, and spirits.
