The Front Line Leader (Quality Supervisor) will be responsible for leading the daily quality activities for union covered employees to support a production environment. Will also be responsible for driving performance, safety, quality of work, managing cost and managing employee relations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and coordinate activities of quality personnel engaged in Receiving and Shipping inspection. Plan daily work assignments. Maintain work flow through inspection areas. Monitor productivity of inspection staff.
Provide technical support to inspection staff.
Maintain Departmental instructions. Assist in corrective action.
Maintain Audit Readiness.
Assure compliance to all procedures and regulatory agencies.
Train and qualify employees.
Assure compliance to tool and equipment calibration requirements.
Schedule and equalize quality overtime to support warehouse requirements and labor agreements.
Approve nonconformance documentation.
Assist in development of inspection plans.
Develop quality inspection reports.
Provide effective management and direction for the Quality shipping and Receiving functions at the FWLC.
Support the company and customer quality issues and concerns in order to meet the goal of customer satisfaction through timely delivery of goods and services that meet requirements and expectations at a best value cost.
This position manages development and administration of a corrective action that ensures prompt and proper identification, segregation, documentation and disposition of nonconforming material and product. The position will be responsible for interfacing with both internal and external customers to include all FWLC Management, FAA and DCMA.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of Quality experience and 2+ years leadership experience
- Experience and/or training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma required
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be detailed oriented, data driven, with strong sense of urgency
- Able to work multiple shifts
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, deal with ambiguity, and innovate new methods and means of obtaining quality conformance results.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Technical degree such as Mechanical/Aero, EE Eng, Computer Science, Industrial Technology is desirable
- Experience with Cyber Physical Systems
- IIoT Systems – Connected & Edge devices - digital integration, machine data sharing, edge analytics (system driven execute – verify – adjust), etc. Lead us from reactive to predictive to prescriptive analytics
- Digital SPC systems and strategies
- Mobile tech integration – IPAD, AR
- Controlling Data Streams – Data Lakes
- Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Software system savvy (SAP, CAMs, next-gen CAMs, Enovia, CATIA V6, digital thread, etc).
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Quality Audit experience
- Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management System requirements
- Familiarity with inspection processes and techniques
- Experience managing a unionized workforce
- Background in Quality Engineering
- Military experience
