Garden Center Merchandiser Job at Luurtsema Sales, Inc
The Garden Center Merchandiser is a full-time merchandising position responsible for visiting our retail customer's stores regularly within in the Chicagoland area to ensure their Garden Center is following all related merchandising programs, and assist within the Garden Center as needed. We will try to work with your home location in assigning territories to cover. Where it says "one location" below that is no accurate. This is on site between several locations in your area.
The Garden Center Merchandiser may also help coordinate and set up store grand openings, re-grands, holiday meetings, and other special events.
The position is a recurring seasonal position with work available April through June and again in September and October;
The job is paid hourly with overtime available; also $.45/mile is paid for driving responsibilities
Responsibilities
Unload and display product from our greenhouses; condense sold through displays; reset displays from time to time with weekly ad items; cull and clean plants of old blooms and foliage; responsibilities will be at several stores in a given area of chicagoland, Also help with set up stores having big corporate events such as grand openings.
Qualifications
- Be willing to travel in the area to visit stores;
- Must possess reliable transportation, a clean driving record, a valid driver’s license, and current car insurance;
- Have a lot of energy, be self-motivated, autonomous, and willing and able to execute on all direction provided;
- The candidate should ideally live in or nearby the Chicagoland area

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Weekly day range:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Weekend availability
