What You Will Do:
Under frequent and close supervision, the Gastrointestinal Technician performs technical and patient care functions during Endoscopy procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse. Primarily, the Gastrointestinal Technician provides assistance to the physician during Endoscopy procedures utilizing a thorough understanding of safe care and handling of equipment. Patients served include infant through adult-geriatric.
What You Need to Be Successful:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of GIT orientation or equivalent GIT experience or at least one (1) year of nursing assistant experience at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Certified by the MBON as a CNA required, if applicable.
