Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Geoscience Technologist through April 17th at 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Frac activity monitoring and reporting
• Log interpretation for support of plug & abandonment program
• Support the team through the creation of dashboards and digital solutions
• Creating & updating maps and diagrams for the team

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (emphasis in Geology or Geophysics preferred)
• Experience with data extraction, loading, transformation, and storage.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of basic cartography & experience in producing maps and well lists.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Ability to work in fast paced environment and effectively manage change.
• Demonstrated ability to work multiple special projects in parallel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Oil & Gas industry. Understand basic geologic and petroleum principles
• Use of Petra, Petrel and Spotfire or PowerBI. Experience in WellView and Power Apps is a plus.
• Digital awareness and desire to continue to develop digital skills through self-directed learning
• Effective at both verbal and written communication. Also important is the ability to effectively manage time and to prioritize work to manage multiple tasks without difficulty and delivering work on time. Strong ability to build team consensus and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multi-discipline environment.
• Demonstrated creativity and initiative in the use of tools to visualize data and simplify workflows
