About the Role
As the Global Controller, Accounting you will have a functional scope across the enterprise, managing financial closing and reporting globally, ensuring that Watlow has outstanding internal controls and compliance. You must have great communication and networking skills to build relationships internally with other finance leaders across the globe.

The Global Controller, Accounting would be located at our Global Headquarters in St Louis, MO
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design proactive strategic initiatives
- Align delivery of Finance services to meet or exceed organizational needs
- Align Finance policies with Watlow’s values and goals
- Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and ensure the books of records are maintained in compliance with all laws, accepted accounting principles and Watlow policies and procedures.
- Lead and actively participate in business initiatives and projects, including operationalizing the accounting for new transactions, implementation of new accounting standards, and serve as a key partner in the implementation of business and accounting systems.
- Partner with the leadership team, cross functional leaders, and other members of the finance team to provide advice on financial implications of business activities.
- Participate in the creation of the financial vision and develop related financial metrics and methodologies.
- Serve as an active member of the Finance leadership team.
- Participates as a leader in strategy development / deployment.
- Advanced Degree (MS/MBA) or Bachelor's and 10+ years of experience in Controlling
- Deep understanding of Us GAAP and technical accounting experience }
- Project Management experience
- People Management experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Lean Accounting
- Experience with Acquisition Accounting is strongly desired
