Global Product Manager Job at Carlisle Fluid Technologies
The Global Product Manager’s primary responsibility is to enable sustainable, profitable revenue growth of his/her product line. Product management acts as the key interface between the global commercial organizations that represent the understanding of customer needs, and the internal capabilities needed to deliver Carlisle Fluid Technologies solutions to those needs.
The product manager provides guidance across functional product line team (composed of engineering, operations, sales and marketing) that develops and executes multi-generational product plans that align with current and evolving market and technology trends. The team also develops and executes a product line strategy that includes the prioritization of new product development as well as product life cycle management.
The product manager is also a key resource relating to product governance and regulatory compliance. The markets we operate in are increasingly regulated through international and regional laws, regulations and industry standards. Ensuring our products remain in compliance is critical to the development of sustainable profitable revenue growth.

Product
Responsibilities:
Mix, Meter & Flow: Manage Ransburg and Binks branded plural component mix/metering, flow control and color change products.
Cure & Convey: Manage BGK product line of IR curing, controls, and Engineered Solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure product strategies deliver maximum enterprise value by setting and delivering on a multigenerational product plan and managing the performance of current and new products throughout the product life cycle
- Synthesize product strategies aligned to market strategies and technical, supply chain, and manufacturing capabilities
- Collect and synthesize customer needs and requirements (VOC) into product.
- Shape and validate value propositions leading to improved price/value management
- Establish product roadmaps across the product life cycle (idea through sunset)
- Develop business justification for manufacturing and technology investments in product capability
- Manage key portfolios aligned with technical fit and financial impact
- Drive cross-functional execution of product initiatives and successful market introduction
- Working with the marketing team, continual analysis and understanding of the competitive situation, including substitute technologies, to enhance and create future value propositions
Key Responsibilities - Continued
- Assess opportunity to rationalize SKU portfolio and develop a cost reduction/profitability improvement portfolio based on thorough review of product specs and customer demand as well as VA/VE analysis
- Utilize Stage Gate process and ensure that global VOC feedback is collected, synthesized and incorporated to promote development of global products.
- Understand design and engineering perspectives of key products to determine opportunity to improve function or cost efficiency
- Partner with procurement to develop a strategic component strategy to insure both security of supply and cost improvement actions
- Execute goals for external networking to build partnerships and collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers, universities, and industry experts to more quickly and effectively deliver innovation and expansion results
- Product pricing management including, initial price based on market price, price increases over life and product obsolescence

Skills and Experience
- Process focused and result driven, understand priorities and is capable of delivering results to plan
- Financial acumen – Cost-of-ownership understanding, value pricing, ROI
- Portfolio management – ensuring resources are aligned and best utilized in support of the business and product line strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, cross-cultural aptitude and experience is preferred
- Aptitude in project management, decision-making and problem-solving
- Multi-tasking, planning, organization
- Facilitative leadership, building consensus
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of successful experience in commercial, engineering, finance, or manufacturing/supply chain roles within a B2B market, preferably with global exposure. Cross-functional experience is a plus
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (est. 25-50%)
- Ability to effectively lead cross-cultural and cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or relevant field; MBA is a distinct advantage
