Job Summary:
The Graphics Designer is responsible for working within the Marketing Department to uphold global brand standards while creating effective dynamic and well thought out marketing materials for our hotels. This role will work directly with the graphic design team in the development of marketing materials across digital and print.
Responsibilities:QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four year college or university; or one to three years of related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 1-3 years of professional design experience preferably in the hospitality industry or business development
- High level of knowledge and experience with Adobe CC programs especially Illustrator InDesign and Photoshop; must be comfortable working on PC platform
- Thorough working knowledge of Excel Word Publisher PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to format content and typography at a professional level
- Ability to uphold brand and style guidelines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with a team and maintain professional working relationships with internal clients and external partners
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-end design and clean design aesthetic
- Performs work under direct supervision
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
- Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
- Detail-oriented individual who reviews his/her work carefully and have a strong attention to detail
- Strong conceptual thinker
- Ability to take and give constructive feedback and be open to new ideas and processes
- Excellent organizational time-management and analytical skills
- Demonstrates strong copywriting and proofing skills and have the ability to communicate information effectively with the use of custom high-impact marketing materials.
- Deadline driven with excellent attention to detail and follow up ability is a must
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops designs and completes the layout for marketing materials to include property collateral support materials brochures menus maps rack cards flyers ads invitations and other graphic designs as needed
- Work with internal clients to develop specialty collateral including sales blitzes grand opening/re-opening materials holiday themes and marketing events
- Own the process of design from concept to completion including proofing for accuracy and adherence to brand style guides and deadlines
- Manage multiple last minute changes in creative direction and multiple rounds of edits
- Assist creative team with graphic design and production related to all corporate and field marketing assets for digital and print
- Prepare layout according to ad request forms and prepare files to printer specifications
- Coordinates with outside agencies to complete projects including printers and delivery services
- Learn to use internal media planning software efficiently to organize plan deliver and finalize projects
