You’ll work closely on-site in our Houston, TX location with all users and departments, as well as remotely with our off-site staff for desktop-related hardware, software, and end user support in a Windows network environment. There will also be opportunities to develop support materials. This is a full-time M-F position, with minimal on call (evenings & weekends).

What you'll do:

• Provides support for both on-site and remote users and equipment
• Provides Level III support for specialized systems and applications
• Uses expertise and research to solve complex issues
• Implements hardware and software standardization throughout the company
• Completes system maintenance, upgrades, etc
• Installs new software and hardware
• Completes appropriate documentation of hardware, software, configuration, known issues, equipment issued, etc
• Trains current and new staff

To qualify, you will have the following characteristics:

• A passion and curiosity for IT
• Knock-their-socks-off customer service skills
• Five years of help desk/service desk experience
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to travel between our Texas locations

Additionally, preference will be given to folks with an IT-related degree, experience with Microsoft operating systems, CompTIA certification(s), advanced knowledge of computer hardware, and previous application of the OSI model for troubleshooting purposes.
