HIRED HANDS HOMECARE is a unique, family owned and operated Caregiving agency proudly serving our communities since 1994. We provide non-medical homecare services to seniors and others with acute or chronic conditions requiring assistance to remain safe and independent in their own homes. We are currently seeking a Homecare Manager for our Santa Rosa office. The Homecare Manager will work with the Scheduling Coordinator and reports directly to the Homecare Director.
The Homecare Manager’s primary responsibility is the hiring and management of our Caregiving staff and ensuring Client satisfaction through day to day management of their care. Our top priorities are to provide the highest standards of service to our Clients AND job satisfaction to our Employees.
The following responsibilities enable the Homecare Manager to effectively perform their position.
Personnel Management
- Recruitment, interviewing, screening and hiring new Caregivers to our outstanding team.
- Conduct Employee Orientations: establishes and assures adherence to policies and procedures of the agency.
- Management of employee documentation and keeping employee files up to date.
- Providing direction, support, and motivation to the Caregiving Team
- Counseling employees on issues, which includes verbal and written consultations and terminations if needed.
- Conducts and assists with employee trainings and in-services
Client Interaction
- Interacting with client’s family members, doctors, nurses, case managers, social workers, friends, etc. to coordinate care.
- Ensuring that the most appropriate employee is assigned to match the client’s unique needs and personality.
- Assuring ongoing client satisfaction through consistent check in calls to both the client and employee.
- Periodic Client Visits with all Clients to assess Quality Assurance and adhearence to the Care Plan
Administration
- Assuring that all Caregiver files are in accordance with State Licensing regulations, and maintained in a proper manner
- Assistance with completing paperwork needed by Clients and internal staff.
- Miscellaneous other Administrative tasks
Quality Assurance
- Quality assurance is the most important aspect of the job! Client and Employee satisfaction are the keys to success.
- Homecare Manager will maintain the highest levels of Client satisfaction through regularly scheduled Client visits.
- Maintains Employee satisfaction through high levels of Employee engagement, and assuring our valued Employees are fulfilling their desired schedules with properly matched Clients.
Requirements:
- At least two years of business/personnel management experience. Must possess proven leadership, motivational, communication and organizational skills, along with a well-adjusted and professional attitude.
- Previous Caregiving and/or Management experience in the medical/senior care industry is a definite plus!
- The position necessitates a person who loves variety and is a skilled multi-tasker. Patience and a sense of humor are also key ingredients.
- Detail orientation with a high level of organizational and time management skills.
- Outstanding verbal communication skills are a must.
- The candidate must understand managing a diverse workforce and client base.
- The ideal candidate should be results driven, team oriented, and enjoy working in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
- A positive, can-do attitude, and a strong desire for professional & personal growth are essential.
