Job Summary: Works with customers and other team members in person and via phone to build relationships and help with their Honda parts needs-look up parts in electronic catalog and fill or order parts-help keep department in order. Parts experience preferred.

Essential Functions of the job:

o With a friendly attitude greet and assist our retail customers in person or via phone with their Honda parts needs and process sales or other transactions

o Communication skills a necessity –able to contact customers via phone and other businesses to verify parts info and availability

o Build relationships with wholesale accounts and assist with orders via phone/in person and handling sales and transactions

o Work with our service advisors/techs to assist them, making electronic quotes and charging out/ordering parts as needed

o Retrieve parts from bins and fill orders from stock- place orders when needed,

o Be able to prioritize and work on a timeline to get parts ordered in a timely fashion

o Order parts thru Honda system and other company websites as needed

o Use computer based catalog to verify parts and look up the correct part for the make, model and year specified

o Be sure parts are receipted in and billed out properly-help with inventory control

o Process Credit card payments for customers

o Assist with receipting, stocking of parts and possibly delivering parts (if needed)

o Learn to cut keys and use any other equipment as needed (training given)

o Perform Parts inventory when needed

o Undergo Honda and Hazmat training (as needed for certification)

o Keep work area clean

Skills required to perform the duties of the job: Multi-tasking, phone skills, positive customer service skills, Time Management, Process Driven

CDK or ADP computer experience (a plus)

Educational requirements needed to perform the duties of the job:

o High School Diploma, (GED) Basic computer knowledge and customer service skills, including phone skills

o Basic automotive knowledge is preferred

Physical requirements of the job:

o Lift up to 50lbs be able to lift parts to sell over counter or to service techs, this includes being able to lift tires to get info and place by tire machine-able to go up/down stairs when needed to retrieve/stock parts

Licensing or other special certifications required: Valid driver license and clean driving record

Basic computer knowledge
