POSITION SUMMARY
Griffith Rubber Mills, a leader in rubber manufacturing for over 100 years, has an immediate opening for a full time Industrial Maintenance Technician to assist our Maintenance Lead in supporting our Eugene, OR plant.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and at least 1 - 2 years' experience in the following:
- Plumbing
- Welding stick and wire feed
- Acetylene torch
- Fabrication
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Electrical
- Boiler and steam systems
- Reading prints and schematics
- Metal lathe
- Milling machine
- Drill press
- Having your own tools is a plus but not required, up to ¾” drive socket sets
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to lift 80 lbs.
- Resourceful problem solver
- Must be a morning person to meet the needs of the early morning start-ups
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Communicate with permit agencies regarding building and equipment requirements
- Source and obtain necessary parts and supplies
- Responds quickly to equipment breakdown at all hours plant is operating
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Highly motivated
- Upbeat, professional attitude
- Dependable team player who demonstrates flexibility to respond to urgent needs
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening
