Suntuity is seeking a stellar Inspection Technician in the Holmdel, NJ area! In this role you will be reviewing, scheduling, and performing all required inspections of Suntuity Solar projects in an efficient manner. You will also collaborate with state/town inspectors to ensure homeowner’s solar projects are up to NEC standards resulting in a pass.

Job Duties:

• Attend all final inspections with the town inspector
• Maintain neat, clean, professional appearance at all times
• Communicate with all employees, vendors, customers, visitors and inspectors in a professional manner
• Coordinate and perform building and electrical inspections of solar, roofing, and electrical installations
• Demonstrate the functionality of the system as requested by the inspector
• If project fails inspection, complete any necessary requirements to have it pass: structural fixes, wire management etc.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager which may include picking up and dropping off permits
• Perform necessary work to pass inspection if corrections are needed
• Comfortable working on ladders, roofs of varying heights and pitches, attics, basements, crawl spaces
• Comfortable working in various conditions, indoor and outdoor, during all four seasons

Qualification Requirements:

• 1-2 Years of solar experience preferred
• Background knowledge of solar systems and electrical components.
• Ability to remove and replace covers on service panels.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and general building codes.
• Problem solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 30 pounds
• Organized and self-motivated
• Effective communication skills
• Schedule flexibility.
• Comfortable driving long distances.
• Valid driver's license

Compensation: $17-22/hr. depending on experience.
