Interior Designer

Accountable to: Principal Interior Designer / Principal Architect

Responsible for: Interior Design and Architectural Production Support

Exempt or Non-
Exempt Position: Exempt

Work under direction of design principals to successfully achieve commitments and goals of the Interior
Design and Architecture departments. Also various support clerical duties as-needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES n Establish and maintain Interior Design production/procurement standards and procedures n Help to develop new Interior Design/Architecture projects and participate in marketing efforts n Assist in determining fee and time budgets for the Interior Design aspect of projects n Assume client interview, programing, design, presentation, procurement and approval functions on the Interior Design aspects of projects n Be responsible to achieve design schedule, time allocation and construction budgets on Interior

Design projects n Provide product research and usage reviews in consultation with registered design staff n Meet with product vendors and build/maintain the firm’s materials resource library n Prepare conceptual plans, interior details and design renderings as needed n Maintain appropriate coordination and support responsibilities with Architecture staff n Maintain appropriate coordination and support responsibilities with Construction staff n Respond to Interior Design related vendor requests for information as appropriate n Solicit Interior Design vendor quotations; prepare purchase orders; review and approve vendor invoices and assist in coordinating site delivery of Interior Design and FF&E items n Assist with maintaining records and invoicing the Interior Design portion of projects

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES n Provide staff clerical assistance as needed n Provide field inspection and punch lists of Interior improvements as needed n Provide back-up telephone answering and front reception assistance as-needed n Provide occasional meeting note-taking or dictation

POSITION REQUIREMENTS n Bachelors’ degree in Interior Design or equivalent practical experience; NCIDQ certification, state registration, and affiliation with a professional design organization preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
