We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate Help Desk Support for a Full-Time position.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Intermediate Help Desk Support professional to serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via phone or email. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of office automation products, databases, and support tools, as well as experience in diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues. The Intermediate Help Desk Support professional will be responsible for performing remote troubleshooting of user issues through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions, determining the best solution possible based on the issue and details provided by users, and communicating user issues to technical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via phone or email.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting of user issues through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
  • Determine the best solution possible based on the issue and details provided by users.
  • Solid understanding of office automation products, databases, and support tools.
  • Understanding of software systems and integrations
  • Knowledge and understanding of Login.gov and how it relates to user access and application access
  • Keycloak experience
  • Communicate user issues to technical staff.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
  • Experience in the tracking of issues using JIRA.
  • Experience in performing QA testing of Postgres databases.
  • Perform SQL queries to confirm data in the application is correct in the database.
  • Create SQL and PL/SQL scripts used to determine the accuracy of reports, data, forms, and processes.
  • Receive customer service software support requests.
  • Assist with the training of staff in training new users on information systems.
  • Provide support to public users of government sites.
  • Perform stress/regression testing on software.
  • Create and update helpdesk documents in SharePoint or a Wiki.
  • Create new user accounts and troubleshoot issues in software systems, such as JIRA and Confluence, along with varying COTS solutions.
  • Use software such as Word, Excel, and Test Rail.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
