Why does the job exist?
1. Active participation in collaboration with the Pension Administration Vendor and internal Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to configure the application to meet the needs of the agency for the upcoming PAS implementation.
2. Working with end users when they encounter problems in the system, and executing root-cause analysis of the problem to determine if it is a valid system issue or something else, like a training issue or a data issue.
3. Managing issue tickets through their life cycle, including working with SME's and our solution Vendor to identify the best issue fix, and then testing issue fixes in non-prod environments prior to deployment into production.
4. Collaborate with SME's in authoring comprehensive test scripts and owning testing life cycle up to UAT environment and assist end-users with testing issue fixes.
5. Maintaining system process documentation, including making updates due to issue fixes moving into production.
6. Assisting with the operational roll out of issue fixes, including updates to Desk Manuals and other training activities.
How does it get done?
Works in collaboration with experienced BA's, business SMEs and the application vendor to properly define and frame system issues, enhancements, legislative changes. Properly document needed changes to the system, documents the issues and the conducts all testing up to UAT environment to ensure that the fix, enhancement, or change order is working as is requested prior to deployment into the production system. Documentation and training are critical to ensure that users are interacting properly with the system for daily operations.
Who are the customers?
The customers consist of the application vendor, our application users, ERB employees, ERB members, ERB local administrative units , LAU's (school systems/employers).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
¿ Experience in the implementation of a multi year application and data conversion.
¿ Experience in the triaging potential issues with operations end users, issue ticket creation, authoring & managing issue tickets
¿ Experience in the developing test "cases" and test "lifecycles scenarios"
¿ Experience in the conducting of first round testing to confirm development resolves issue tickets
¿ Experience in user acceptance testing, assisting operations users execute User Acceptance Testing
¿ Training - Developing and/or maintaining User Guides (desk manuals) related to system changes for operations, assisting with or owning delivery of training to operations staff on system functionality.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in any field and two (2) years of experience in information technology or business analysis. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below. PMI-PBA certification may be substituted for one year of education.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
State of New Mexico employees may be impacted by the Public Health Order dated December 19, 2022, which requires facilities licensed or certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ("CMS"), including all hospital types, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospice facilities and rehabilitation facilities, as well as assisted living facilities and adult day care settings, to adhere to all COVID-related requirements prescribed by CMS, including, but not limited to masking and staff vaccination.
Normal working conditions would be in an office setting working on a computer, interacting with staff in person with extend periods of sitting, emailing, talking on the phone and working on a computer with multiple monitors. Attending multiple video meetings. Must be able to lift 25lbs.
