Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee the defect management process within Jira, including defect triage, prioritization, and resolution.

· Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify, track, and resolve software defects.

· Ensure that defects are properly documented, reported, and communicated to stakeholders.

· Analyze defect trends and metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements.

· Develop and maintain defect management policies and procedures.

· Provide guidance and support to development teams on defect resolution and prevention.

· Facilitate defect review meetings with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

· Manage the defect backlog and ensure that defects are prioritized appropriately based on severity and impact.

· Track and report on defect resolution progress, including status updates and metrics.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on defect management.

· Strong understanding of the software development process and the role of defect management.

· Experience with Jira or other defect-tracking systems.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Knowledge of software testing methodologies and practices.

· Experience with Agile software development methodologies is a plus.
