Summary/Objective:
The kitchen supervisor is responsible for managing the overall kitchen operations, ensuring that the kitchen employees follow sanitary procedures while doing their high-quality and maximum productivity tasks. Kitchen supervisors manage inventories, checking the adequacy of food supplies and kitchen equipment. A kitchen supervisor must have excellent communication and leadership skills, especially with responding to customers' inquiries and concerns and resolving complaints. Will oversee the kitchen when the culinary director is not there
Essential Functions:
- Manage and lead the kitchen associates in all aspects of service, including the opening, prep, and closing duties.
- Work together with the chef leadership team and other departments to ensure our guests receive the highest quality of service.
- Receive and process all kitchen orders and deliveries in line with company protocol.
- Maintain communication with the restaurant staff to ensure the team has enough stock and assist them with supplies and ordering.
- Ensure the appropriate safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices are followed across all back-of-house areas and in line with the cleaning schedules.
- Monitor the kitchen operational costs and ensure budget guidelines are followed.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely, securely and is in full working order.
- Follow waste control guidelines to avoid spoilage where possible.
- Perform the relevant briefings with front and back-of-house staff pre and post service.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Verbal and writing abilities necessary to communicate and work effectively with various levels of staff, residents, family members and the public.

- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe directions, diet orders and work assignments.
- Able and willing to work flexible hours, such as during emergency situations.
- Must be patient and tolerant toward staff, residents, and family members.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an hourly position, with expected hours to include: days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Information
Hourly Wage: $16.50
