Overview:
Nakupuna Solutions is seeking a Lead Program Architect to support the Army Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center Headquarters at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. The Lead Program Architect shall direct the architectural design, development, and deployment of the enterprise’s overall systems and assure their high availability. Additionally, this position will lead refactoring and cloud migration efforts to include the latest state of the art in technology, including, but not limited to, cloud migration of legacy systems, database refactoring to meet cloud migration requirements, and system architecture redesign to include Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), or Software as a Service (SaaS) when required and as applicable.
Responsibilities:

- Design and lead the implementation of an application and infrastructure architecture based on business requirements and IT strategies, as well as to rectify gaps and pain points within the current state
- Implement and Integrate DevSecOps concept to design and development processes
- Propose development schedule and milestones and report any issues that affect the performance, cost, or schedule of the application and propose alternatives to mitigate those issues
- Design system solutions based on user/client requirements, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, interfaces, or platforms. Establishes, implements, and documents the technology integration and/or migration strategies. Ensures compatibility with existing solutions, infrastructure, services, and strategic requirements
- Research, identify, select, and test technology products in support of applications and systems development efforts, and recommends technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility
- Provide recommendations based on long-term development organization strategy and develops enterprise level application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions, and features
- Provide architectural expertise and technical assistance to software developers. Coordinates architecture implementation and modification activities and assists in post-implementation continuous-improvement efforts to enhance performance and provide increased functionality
- Lead the assessment of the capacity and resource utilization of application and search tools, components, network, application platforms, application/integration/database servers, storage, security, and management hardware and software
- Develop and communicate systems design, functional system specifications, functional architecture analysis, testing documents, system manuals, standards, guidelines, and procedures. Provide input to training documents as required
- Use SE2 or equivalent for project management, bugs, and issues tracking
Skills/Qualifications:
- Cloud certification - CCSP or CISSP is required
- Azure experience desired
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related IT field is preferred
- 8-10 years of IT experience is required
Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active
SECRET security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
