Job Summary:

Advise IGA leadership regarding customer strategy, history, and relationships and support the preparation of executive briefing materials/information (project plans, status reports, etc.) to ensure FPS national and regional leadership remain informed regarding customers’ evolving missions, strategic business needs, operational requirements, and concerns. Work with FPS personnel assigned various taskers associated with open audits to ensure timely and thorough completion.

Base Salary: $77,000 - $82,000/Annually

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Participate in meetings and working groups to determine the strategic direction of the office
  • Research and brief Inspector General Audits (IGA) leadership on similar offices/groups within DHS and other government agencies
  • Attend meetings and events on behalf of IGA leadership and provide updates and recommendations based on this information
  • Meeting preparation (logistics/coordination)
  • Develop and maintain a strategic organizational relationship with FPS customers
  • Support FPS in the development of communications products to enhance FPS service delivery (Fact sheets, FAQs, etc.)
  • Provide content and development support for the internal and external FPS webpages as well as division SharePoint page
  • Track and assist in development of responses to queries from oversight bodies and other FPS divisions
  • Conduct research, analysis, and interviews to edit and assist with writing a variety of materials such as speeches; articles for publication in professional magazines, journals, and other media outlets; newsletters; news releases; notes and other correspondence associated with a broad spectrum of program areas
  • Assist in development of FPS presentations for, manage advance logistics, manage on-site logistics and represent FPS at industry stakeholder conferences, including preparation of and management of FPS exhibition booth
  • Draft reports on FPS stakeholder activities
  • Attend meetings between FPS and stakeholder groups; lead the development, sustainment, and updating of SharePoint sites
  • Lead the development, sustainment, and updating of SharePoint reports (canned and ad hoc)
  • Assist in compiling and submitting packages for closure of open audit reports
  • Attend Audit Liaison meetings and provide briefing to the FPS Performance Quality and Compliance (PQ&C) Division leadership on meeting outcomes
  • Lead Audit Council meetings with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to discuss open Internal Audit Agency Findings

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years of experience in conducting analytical and support activities related to task area.
  • A minimum education requirement of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data
  • Ability to read and interpret management policy, regulations, and directives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 or higher to include Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work effectively with a group or independently

Additional Duties include:

  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials
  • Maintain confidentiality of information
  • Prepare, edit, and assemble reports required for meetings and presentations
  • Work effectively with other branches and divisions within the organization to accomplish tasks
