Licensed Practical Nurse Job at Crozer Health
To perform selected acts in the care of the ill, injured or infirm under the direction of a licensed professional nurse which does not require the specialized skill, judgment and knowledge required in professional nursing.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care, performing data collection, treatments and procedures in accordance with standards.
- Contributes to the nursing plan of care by reporting patient problems to the Registered Nurse, suggesting possible solutions to those problems.
- Implements nursing directives communicated by the Registered Nurse, shift report, patient therapy profile, and nursing plan of care.
- Administers medications in accordance with appropriate Standards.
- Instructs patients and families appropriately.
- Transcribes physicians’ orders in accordance with appropriate Standards.
- Maintains emergency equipment and supplies which are located in the nursing department.
- Documents pertinent observations and nursing procedures performed on the appropriate chart forms, in accordance with protocols and procedures.
- Reports patient problems, patient incidents, or changes in patient status to a Registered Nurse or supervisor.
Education and Training
- Current licensure to practice Practical Nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Location: Crozer Health · 6182- Medical/Surgical Loc 4
Schedule: FR =Full-time Regular, 3 =Night Shift, 7pm-7am
